Understand How Your Tools Connect
Inside this walkthrough, I break down four ways your software can handle tasks or share information:
- Native automations that complete predictable actions inside one platform
- Native integrations that directly connect one platform to another
- Third-party data bridge tools, such as Zapier, Make, or Pabbly, that connect tools when a direct integration isn’t available
- MCPs that allow an AI tool to access information or perform supported actions inside connected software
You’ll see how these different connection types can work together through a real RSVP workflow using Replit, Airtable, and Kit. The AI app sends registration information to Airtable and Kit, then a native Kit automation tags the subscriber and sends the confirmation email.
